El Misterio de Jerez | Virtual Tour | Postcards

In the year 1100 AD, a small Phoenician galley crossed the Mediterranean in search of contacts with new civilizations. After passing the limits of the known world they became shipwrecked not far from Jerez. The Phoenician merchants were captivated the prosperity of that wonderful land. They decided to establish a colony and planted vines, vines from which the famous sherry wines are produced today..

Thus begins an amazing voyage of approximately one hour through "El Misterio de Jerez", the passionate, cultural universe of sherry. Actors, wrap-around images projected on giant screens, and on the central surface of the room you will be transported through our local festivals and customs, all within the unique setting of a refurbished old sherry warehouse. The wine thus allows us to invade its privacy. Those walls which have watched over the slumbering Sherry shall now become witnesses to our voyage...
